Functionality

The blocks serves for explicitly converting the BOOL value connected to input IN into a value of data type SAFEBOOL.

When using a safe convert block, you must make sure that the input signal to the safe convert block is suitable to be used as safe signal. logi.CAD 3 does not ensure that a signal status is safe but only highlights safe logic in the FBD-editor so that you are able to differentiate beween safety-relevant and standard signals.
