Problems when using EtherCAT field buses

Symptom: The logi.CAD 3 application in which you are accessing the hardware IOs via EC-Engineer is returning one of the following errors:

Possible cause: When logi.RTS has been started, the EtherCAT bus scan has failed (e.g. because of a power loss at a slave).

Workaround:

  1. Access the EtherCAT bus using a diagnostic too (e.g. →EC-Engineer).
Even if EC-Engineer is available on the same PC, always perform a remote diagnosis on port 6000.

  2. After the error has been fixed, the application must be re-loaded. Alternative: Restart llogi.RTS.
