Which target systems are supported?

logi.CAD 3 supports the following →target systems (observe the properties and/or restrictions specific to the target system):

target system

Further Information

→Arduino Nano 3
(based on ATmega328)

Best practice is to use the PLC-object arduinoNanoV3. The appropriate platform ArduinoNanoV3 is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial Putting Controllino or Arduino Nano into operation, if you need more information.

→Controllino of these sizes:
MINI, MAXI, MEGA, MAXI Automation

Best practice is to use the corresponding PLC-object for a Controllino. The appropriate platform (e.g. ControllinoMINI) is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial Putting Controllino or Arduino Nano into operation, if you need more information about addressing this target system.

Linux computer, in particular

  • for Linux x86 (32 bit)

  • for Linux x64 (as 32 bit process)

You have to enter the platform LinuxX86 within a PLC-object.
See Installing the development environment and the runtime environment on how install logi.RTS on a Linux computer.

→Revolution Pi

Best practice is to use the PLC-object RevolutionPi. The appropriate platform RevolutionPi is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial Putting Revolution Pi into operation, if you need more information.

→phyBOARD-Regor

Best practice is to use the PLC-object phyBoardRegor. The appropriate platform phyboardRegor is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial phyBOARD-Regor oder phyBOARD-Wega in Betrieb nehmen, if you need more information.

→phyBOARD-Wega

Best practice is to use the PLC-object phyBoardWega. The appropriate platform phyboardWega is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial phyBOARD-Regor oder phyBOARD-Wega in Betrieb nehmen, if you need more information.

→Raspberry Pi

Best practice is to use the PLC-object raspberry. The appropriate platform Raspbian is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial Putting Raspberry Pi into operation, if you need more information.

Windows computer
(according to system requirements)

If you want to test/operate the application on the local Windows computer, best practice is to use the PLC-object local. The appropriate platform BuiltInPlc is already entered in this PLC-object. See the tutorial The first loadable application: testing with integrated PLC, if you need more information about addressing this target system.
If you want to test/operate the application on any remote Windows PC, best practice is to enter the WindowsX86 platform in the PLC-object.

If you want to address a PLC from within logi.CAD 3, the appropriate platform has to be entered within the PLC-object of the logi.CAD 3 project. The available platforms are listed under Configuring PLC within PLC-object.
