Development environment cannot be started. There is no error message.

When extracting the installation package, you have used a program that does not process the nested packages of the installation package correctly.

1. Use a file archiver tool that processes nested packages correctly . Example: the free file archiver "7-zip" – download is possible under: http://7-zip.org/

2. Start logi.CAD 3 from this newly extracted package.

A heap size (memory to be used) of 6144 MB is set for the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
However, this amount of memory is not available anymore.

1. Go to the folder where you installed logi.CAD 3.

2. Locate the file logiCAD3.ini and open it in a text editor.

3. In the file, search for the text -Xmx. Change the value entered after -Xmx to a smaller value. For example, try 2048m.

   -Xmx2048m

4. Save the file.

5. Now try to start logi.CAD 3. If this fails, edit the file logiCAD3.ini again. Change -Xmx2048 to an even smaller value.

Your virus scanner (e.g. avast, Panda Adaptive Defense 360 ) prevents or delays the start.
For instance, starting of logi.CAD 3might take 4 minutes or longer.

1. Deactivate the virus scanner.

2. Now try to start logi.CAD 3. If this succeeds, configure your virus scanner so that logi.CAD 3 is defined as exception for the following scans.

3. Re-activate the virus scanner.
