Connection to Controllino or Arduino Nano is lost after an application is loaded onto a different Controllino or Arduino Nano

Symptom:

  • An already existing connection to a →Controllino or an →Arduino Nano (e.g. Controllino Mini) is automatically disconnected, if you load an application onto a different Controllino or Ardunio Nano (e.g. Controllino Maxi).

  • This behavior can be recognized in the Instances view: The connection state changes from Online to Offline.

Causes:

  • Controllinos or Arduino Nanos are using a communication via Gateway.

  • In case of communication via Gateway, the connection to a PLC is lost, if an application is loaded onto a different PLC.

Workaround:

Re-connect to the appropriate PLC by selecting this PLC in the Instances view and clicking the button Connect to PLC.
