Disabled button "Build and Load Application"

Tthe Instance view provides the button images/download/attachments/405733741/LoadProgram-version-1-modificationdate-1529910412582-api-v2.png (Build and Load Application) to build and load the application to the selected PLC. This command is not provided under certain circumstances. The following table gives you some clues to identify the cause and to find the solution quickly.

Displayed state information in "Instances" view	Cause	Solution
No information is displayed.	no PLC selected	Select the PLC (see under "Building and loading application onto PLC").
The text Offline is displayed under Connection state.	no connection to the PLC or to the →Gateway	Make sure that you are connected to the PLC and that the PLC can be reached. In case of a communication via Gateway: Make sure that the Gateway is started and that it can be reached. Possible reference points can be found in the line Details on connection (directly below the line Connection state). If you are using a local PLC, start the built-in PLC. It this is not possible, see "PLC cannot be addressed. The runtime system is slow to respond or does not respond at all." You need the appropriate version of the →runtime system on the PLC. See "PLC cannot be addressed. The runtime system is slow to respond or does not respond at all." for more information. Make sure that the correct settings (e.g. the correct IP-address and the correct port) are shown in the state information. If not, correct the definitions in the appropriate PLC-object. Check whether Problems view displays messages reporting errors when loading. If yes, correct the reported errors (see "Errors when connecting to the PLC or loading, starting, stopping the application" for hints how to eliminate the errors).
usual display	special characters in path	Exit logi.CAD 3. Change the path so that there are no special characters any longer. Restart logi.CAD 3.
usual display	The possibility to load the application in logi.CAD 3 has been disabled.	Contact your system integrator. Ask him how to load the application instead.
