Moving FBD-elements
How to move FBD-elements in the →graphical FBD-editor:
Select the FBD-elements that you want to move.
Press and hold the primary mouse button, drag the FBD-elements to the destination and release the primary mouse button.
During this user action, it is possible that affected lines are automatically rerouted. If the positioned element is presented with a red rectangle, the destination is not possible.
You might want to use the following key while positioning the element: Press the ESC-key, if you do not want to position the element and abort the action.
How to move connection points on a line:
Select the connection points that you want to move.
Press and hold the Alt-key.
Press and hold the primary mouse button, drag the connection points to the destination and release the key/button.
When you need to move FBD-elements, the following actions might be of interest to you:
If you position the mouse cursor outside the drawing field while dragging , the drawing field will automatically be scrolled (see "Autoscrolling within the FBD-editor").
Moreover, it is possible to insert the call of a block or a value field into existing lines.
If you press and hold the Ctrl-key as well as the Shift-key while moving a call without connected lines or value field without connected lines within the FBD-editor, the appropriate element is copied and it is possible to insert this copy into existing lines.
Docking to FBD-elements allows you to connect FBD-elements more quickly to existing lines and vice versa.
It is also possible to connect an already connected line to a different FBD-element. When doing so, a part of the line is moved, meaning the line is reconnected or disconnected.
The FBD-editor also allows you to change the alignment of several FBD-elements to each other.
