Linked folders are considered when exporting a project into an archive file

Symptom within a logi.CAD 3 version < 3.0.0:

If you export a →project into an archive file, it is possible that the content of libraries (such as Standard with IEC-blocks) is exported as well. Subsequently, if you import the project from this archive file, the libraries (that have been previously linked folders) have become "real" folders in the project. This might cause problems, when you are using objects included in the (actually linked) folders; e.g. when you are using IEC-blocks in the ST-code.

Solution 1: Use the logi.CAD 3 version 3.0.0 or a subsequent version. There, libraries are managed by means of a →library reference.

Solution 2, if you are using a logi.CAD 3 version < 3.0.0:

When exporting to an archive file, make sure that the option Resolve and export linked resources is unchecked in the dialog. Only then click Finish to start the export. After importing the project, the libraries (the linked folders) are automatically included in the project.
Alternative for logi.CAD 3 versions in which this option is not provided: Expand the project to be exported in the left pane of the dialog, uncheck the linked folders and only then click Finish.

Workaround, if you have already imported a project containing real folders instead of the libraries (the linked folders):

1. In the imported project, delete the faulty folders.

2. In the imported project, create the linked folders. Here is the best practice:

   1. Create temporarily a new project containing the linked folders.

   2. Drag the linked folders from the new project into the imported project (see "Moving resources" for details).

   3. Delete the temporarily created project (removing its contents from the file system).
