How do I change the language for the user interface?

logi.CAD 3 is started with the language as specified by the operating system. Example: If you are using the English version of the operating system, logi.CAD 3 is started with English language.
If the language of the operating system is not supported by logi.CAD 3, logi.CAD 3 is started with English language.

If you want to start logi.CAD 3 with another language, you must define start parameters for logi.CAD 3. Here a simple method for the Windows operating system for which you do not need any special permissions:

  1. Create a link to the start file of logi.CAD 3.
See "Starting the development environment and the runtime environment" where to find this start file and for its name.

  2. Open the properties of the link.

  3. In the properties behind the entered call of the start file, enter a blank and one of the following texts:

    Text

    Meaning

    -nl en

    start with English language

    -nl de

    start with German language

  4. Save the properties and move the link with the change start parameters to a suitable location.

  5. From now on, just use this link to start logi.CAD 3.

If you experience problems with the displayed language in logi.CAD 3, see "Elements and messages in German language after start" for possible workarounds.
