Creating or editing transitions in FBD
How to create →transitions in the →graphical FBD-editor:
-
From the context menu of the FBD-editor, select Create and select Transition. Alternative: Press Ctrl+Shift+F, T.
-
Position the transition where you need it.
During this user action, it is possible that affected lines are automatically rerouted. If the positioned element is presented with a red rectangle, the destination is not possible.
You might want to use the following key while positioning the element: Press the ESC-key, if you do not want to position the element and abort the action. -
Press the primary mouse button or the Enter-key to create the transition.
If the transition is highlighted as faulty, the new name is causing an error. Enter another name or correct the other FBD-logic until the FBD-object does not contain any faulty FBD-elements.
How to change the name of a transition:
-
Double-click a transition and enter the new (unique) name. The name must be an →IEC-identifier.
-
Press the Enter-key or click anywhere outside the element so that the new name is entered. Press the ESC-key, if you want to discard the new name.
If the elements are highlighted as faulty, the new name is causing an error. Enter another name or correct the other FBD-logic until the FBD-object does not contain any faulty FBD-elements.
