Where to quickly find a certain command?

logi.cals recommends that you use the following sources, if you are looking for an element in logi.CAD 3, such as a certain command:

Quick access from within logi.CAD 3

The quick access search bar enables you to quickly find all user interface elements, such as →views, available →perspectives, open →editors, commands for other actions etc. Usually, the quick access search bar is located at the top of the logi.CAD 3 window.

How to use the quick access and trigger the appropriate action:

  1. In menu Window, select Navigation and Find Actions. Alternative: C lick on the field images/download/thumbnails/451280934/QuickAccess-version-1-modificationdate-1598002908794-api-v2.png in der toolbar or simply press Ctrl+3.

  2. In the dialog, start typing the name of the wanted item (e.g. view) to see matches.

  3. Click the match you need or select it (by using the cursor movement keys) and press the Enter-key.

Searching within the user documentation of logi.CAD 3

This search works only in the online-version of the user documentation!

  1. Click in the field of the quick search (at the right top of your screen). Alternative: Simply press g, g to switch the focus to the quick search field.

  2. Start typing the name of the wanted item (e.g. view) to see matches.

  3. Press the Enter-key to perform a full search within the user documentation at once (see step 4).

  4. In order to go to the appropriate description, click a match or select it (by using the mouse or the cursor movement keys) and press the Enter-key.

  5. If you do not see any useful maches and you want to perform a full search within the user documentation, click Search for 'element' at the bottom of the list. The full search lists all search results in a page. Click a title within this page to go to the appropriate description.
    If there are too many search results, use the provided filter options to restrict the search results. If there not any useful results, enter another search term.
