Saving and closing the global-variables-editor

How to save the content of the global-variables-editor :

In menu File, select Save. Alternative: Press Ctrl+S.

How to save logic in all opened →editors:

In menu File, select Save All.

How to save the content of the global-variables-editor under a different name:

  1. In menu File, select Save As...

  2. In the dialog, enter or select the parent folder (if necessary), then enter the name of the object in File name and click Finish.
    images/s/b2ic8e/9012/1ca6q62/_/images/icons/emoticons/information.svg If possible, do not enter invalid characters (e.g. umlauts, blanks, the character –, numbers at the start) because the file name is automatically used as global-object-name and this name must be a valid →IEC-identifier. But if you need such invalid characters in the file name, delete or replace the invalid characters in Global-Object-Name before you click Finish.
    It is possible to change the global-object-name at any time later.

How to close an →object that is opened in the global-variables-editor :

In menu File, select Close. Alternative: Click images/download/thumbnails/409863775/CloseViewEditor-version-1-modificationdate-1531306764951-api-v2.png (the Close button) in the title bar of the object.
logi.CAD 3 prompts you to save any changes before the object closes.
By default, saving automatically triggers the creation of code that is required for the →target system (see "Cleaning projects" for more information). By default, the files with the code are not displayed within the project explorer.

How to close all objects that are opened in an →editor:

In menu File, select Close All. Alternative: Open the context menu for the title bar of one object, then select Close All.
