List of libraries provided or installed for a project

It is possible to inspect the properties of a →project to see which libraries are provided/installed for the project:

  1. Open the properties of the project.

  2. Expand the group Library and select Libraries.
The table lists the libraries currently provided. The displayed pieces of information are the name and the version of the library as well as the name of the library provider providing the library. The checkbox in the column Install visualizes whether a library is already used in the project.

This library is not used in the project. It is not installed for the project.
Possible action: Install the library for the project (see below).

If it is not possible to install the library, a different version of this finalized library is already used in the project.
If you want to install this version of the finalized library, first uncheck the box for the other version before you install the required version of the library.

Necessary and recommended action, if the library is provided by a library provider: Install the library for the project (see below).

This library is not provided by any library provider but it is provided by the library cache.
Possible consequence: If you install this library, you pass the project on to a team member and the library is still not provided by any library provider, the team member will not be able to install this library.
Hence, do not install this library. logi.cals recommends that you clean the library cache to prevent the installing of such a library.

    text System

This library is a system library providing system blocks and system data types. A system library is directly provided by logi.CAD 3.

If you want to install a library for a project, perform the following steps:

  1. Check the box in the column Install for the library. If it is not possible to check the box, it is not possible to install this library.

  2. Click Apply and OK.
Result: The project contains a →library (shown with the icon images/download/thumbnails/443057630/IconLibrary-version-1-modificationdate-1586434414821-api-v22.png ). You are able to use the blocks from the library within the editors as all other blocks of the project.
images/s/b2ic8e/9012/1ca6q62/_/images/icons/emoticons/warning.svg If an empty folder is displayed for the library, this indicates that the library has not been installed correctly. In this case, the best practice is to uncheck the box for the library within the properties of the project. Then try to install the library anew.

  3. Recommended, if one version of the library has been removed at first, then a different version of the library has been installed and problems are occurring when using the new version: Clean the project.
