How to export →resources:

  1. Select the resources that you want to export. (You can change this selection later on.)

  2. In menu File or from the context menu within the resource, select Export...

  3. In the wizard, select a type for exporting the resources (see table below) and click Next >.
To locate a particular type: Enter a text (e.g. system) into the field under Select an export destination to show only the types that match the entered text.

    Possible types for exporting resources

    Type

    Meaning

    Archive File

export resources to an archive file

    File system

export resources to the file system

  4. In the right pane on the next wizard page, check the objects to export.
Alternative: In the left pane check the folders to export their entire contents.

Do not export linked folders to archive files

When exporting a project to an archive file, make sure that the option Resolve and export linked resources is unchecked. If the option is checked and you import the project from the created archive file, the previously linked folders have become "real" folders. This might cause problems in the imported project. Details: see "Linked folders are considered when exporting a project into an archive file"

To speed up the selection process: Click button Select All to select all objects or button Deselect All to deselect all objects. Click button Filter Types... to restrict the export to particular types.

  5. Type in the full path and file name in the text box (left of To archive file or To directory) or click button Browse to select a path and file name on the file system.

  6. Select the options as required, e.g. Create only selected directories or Overwrite existing files without warning.
If Overwrite existing files without warning is cleared, you are prompted before an already existing file is overwritten.

  7. Click Finish to start the export.
