Preparing Controllino or Arduino Nano

  1. Open the device manager of your operating system.
    Procedure for Windows: Control Panel – Device Manager – Expand the section Ports.

  2. Attach the target system (the Controllino or the Arduino Nano) to the USB port of the computer where logi.CAD 3 will be installed. This makes the device manager display a new item for the target system .

  3. Determine which COM port is displayed at the new item for the target system. You will need this information in the next step of the tutorial.

  4. Only required, if the new item is displayed as a faulty or unknown device: Install the USB-driver.
    Procedure for Windows: Open the context menu for the used COM-port within Device Manager. Select the command Update Driver Software... When asked for an installation path, enter the temporary path where the unpacked content of the previously downloaded file Arduino_Drivers.zip is located.
