OLT-field can be created within a library element but it cannot be saved

Symptom: Within an FBD-editor that has been opened for a →library element, it is possible to create →OLT-fields and to enter values in them. If you try to save the changes in the FBD-editor, the following message is displayed: path\.libcache\library\FOLDER\FBD-object.iecfbd (access denied)

Cause: It is not possible to change the logic of a library element (e.g. by creating/editing/deleting variables or value fields). But as an exception, it is possible to create/edit/delete OLT-fields within the library element (so you are able to display values of variables within the FBD logic). However, you are still not able to save these changes of the library element.

Solution: If you need the OLT-fields within the library element for good, best practice is to contact the manufacturer of the library and ask for the appropriate enhancement of the library element.
