Editing expression in value field

How to edit expressions in an existing →value field:

  1. Double-click the value field in the →graphical FBD-editor.

  2. Enter the new expression in the value field.
The expression may be an expression according to ST. Hence, it may consist of operands in ST and operators in ST. Examples:

    • for a →variable: var2
images/s/b2ic8e/9012/1ca6q62/_/images/icons/emoticons/information.svg Use the content assist in order to comfortably enter an existing variable within the value field: Enter e.g. the characters Var to display a list with all variables fitting the input. Then select the required variable from the list.

    • for a →literal: T#14ms

    • for a variable with an operator: 2 * IN2

  3. Press the Enter-key or click anywhere outside the value field so that the new expression is entered in the value field. Press the ESC-key, if you want to discard the new expression.
If the value field is highlighted as faulty, the new expression is causing an error. Enter another expression or correct the other FBD-logic until the FBD-object does not contain any faulty FBD-elements.
