Survey: Testing the application
Depending on your test requirements, perform the following steps in the opened →perspective Application Testing (follow the links, if you need more details on the appropriate step):
Insert variables into the Values of Variables view and monitor their values. As alternative, it is also possible to monitor values in a viewer or editor.
Change a value for a variable in order to write the change value to the PLC. Monitor the effects (the other values) in the view.
If you are using FORCEMRK blocks , write force values onto the PLC .
Stop the execution of the application loaded onto the PLC. Modify settings on the PLC. Start the execution again.
Go to an instance or a variable in the application. Correct and save the application. Then load the corrected application onto the PLC. Monitor the values in Values of Variables view again.
As soon as you want to change the application considerably, close the perspective Application Testing or switch to one of the perspectives for application creating.
The target system influences the application.
