Restoring deleted resources from local history

How to restore deleted →resource with a previous state from the →local history:

  1. In the project explorer, select the →folder or →project into which you want to restore deleted resources.

  2. From the context menu, select Restore from Local History...

  3. In the dialog, select an object in the upper left pane to see the contents of this object and to see whether there are previous editions of the object.
    The upper left pane of the dialog shows all objects previously contained in the selected folder or project and all of their sub-folders. Whereas the upper right pane shows all editions available for the selected object (they are listed by date and time the file for the object was saved) and the bottom pane shows the contents of the selected object resp. edition.

  4. In the upper left pane, check the objects that you want to restore.
    Moreover, if you do not want to restore the last edition of the object, select the appropriate edition in the right hand pane.

  5. Click Restore.

You may configure your preferences for the local history. You may specify how many days to keep files, how many entries per file you want to keep or the maximum file size for files to be kept. Select Window, Preferences..., General, Workspace, Local History – Make sure that Limit history size is checked and specify the appropriate data.
