Functionality

The block returns the amount of slaves that are configured for the →EC-Master.
The slaves are specified in the ENI-file that is created in →EC-Engineer and is required for instance to access the hardware IOs of EtherCAT fieldbuses. If there is no ENI-file, the block returns the amount of slaves found when the EC-master automatically scans the field bus.

Internal error diagnostic for block

The block checks the following error case and – if it occurs – the block sets the output ENO of the block to the value FALSE (or an equivalent): The system service has not been loaded.
